Qom is one of the central provinces of Iran. This city is one of the most important religious tourism hubs in our country. Many tourists from other countries travel to this city every year. The shrine of Hazrat Masoumeh is one of the places of religious tourism that has eight doors. The wall of this shrine with a lattice made of silver is very beautiful and eye-catching.


Jamkaran Mosque
According to narrations and historical documents, this mosque was built by the order of Imam Zaman. Various ceremonies such as mid-Sha'ban; Komeyl prayers etc. are held in this mosque. This mosque has six entrances and the number of minarets around the courtyard reaches fourteen. The outer part of the dome of this mosque is decorated with turquoise tiles and the inner part is decorated with mosaic tiles. Every year, many people travel to Qom to see the places of pilgrimage and also the pilgrimage of Jamkaran Mosque.


Qom Grand Mosque
This mosque is one of the valuable historical monuments of the sixth century and was built during the reign of the Seljuk king. The glory, splendor and beauty of the architecture of this mosque is famous. This mosque is one of the places of pilgrimage in Qom; So that many people from Muslim countries visit this mosque during their trip to Qom.

 

Mashhad and tourist and pilgrimage places

Mashhad is one of the cities that has many pilgrimage places. As the spiritual capital of Iran, this city has about twenty-five million tourists every year, of which more than two million are foreign tourists. with the wide range of tourist attractions, recreational, historical and religious attractions, having enough time to see all those is important.


Shrine of Imam Reza
This place has a special spiritual status among foreign and Muslim tourists. Architectural style, holy shrines, the porches have a unique glory. The shrine of Imam Reza is a holy place that has been known for the world. Not only Muslims but also people with other religions travel to Mashhad to see this shrine.


Torqabeh
One of the most beautiful places, spectacular and pleasant weather is Torqabeh. Torqabeh is twenty minutes away from Mashhad. This small village has many places of pilgrimage. Bazaar Reza of Mashhad
One of the places that is very effective in attracting tourism, is Bazaar Reza. There are all kinds of silver shops, tasbih, mohr and prayer cloths in this market. Most of the tourists buy souvenirs in this market.


Goharshad Mosque
One of the pilgrimage places of Mashhad is Goharshad Mosque. The largest mosque with four porches and seven naves, several e entrances and a very wide courtyard. Its largest porch is known as the Qibla porch, which is decorated with paintings and moccasins. This mosque has a very beautiful wooden dome which is known as Munir Sahib al-Zaman.


Bird Garden
One of the recreational and commercial attractions of Mashhad is the Bird Garden. In this garden, different types of birds can be seen. Asian birds, Africa and Iranian, cared for by medical teams. This garden is very beautiful and lush.
Other places of pilgrimage in this city include Goharshad Bazaar, Se-lafti Museum; Anthropological Museum of Robat Virani, Mashhad Water Museum; Khorasan Bread Museum, Mehdi Gholi Beyg Bath, Great Museum of Khorasan, Astan Quds Central Museum, Ardakani House, sheriff house etc.

 

Old churches of Iran

Throughout the history of Iran, there has seen different religions; so different churches exist in Iran which are religiously, historically and culturally valuable. These churches are nationally registered. There are about six hundred churches in Iran, of which ninety churches have been registered. As we move towards Mako West Azerbaijan, many churches are seen. Jolfa Church of Isfahan

Jolfa neighborhood has three main churches located near Zayandehrood. vank Church, St. Hacop and Mary are other churches in Jolfa. The most important Armenian church in Iran is Vank Cathedral, which is known as the Church of Amen Perkich. Inside the church, amazing paintings surround the upper walls and ceiling, multiplying the beauty of the church. Vank Church was built by Armenian immigrants during the reign of Shah Abbas Safavid. In the past, this church was the only religious place for Christians. But today more attention is paid to the historical dimension and cultural attraction of this church.

 

West Azerbaijan Mako

This city has many churches. Among the Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary is Zour Zour. The church is a national monument that has been nationally registered and is on the UNESCO list. The church is located in the village of Baron and part of the valley that forms an opening, the water of the beautiful Zangi Mar River flows through it. This church is built in the shape of a cross. Many tourists travel to West Azerbaijan to see this church as well as its pilgrimage sites.

 

Qara Church

It is the first cathedral of Christianity in the world in West Azerbaijan. The church has two courtyards and forty-seven rooms and is rectangular in shape. Researchers, students, writers, etc. each had a room in this church. The roof of this church is beautifully decorated with white and black marble. The Church of Mako, along with the two churches of Zour Zour and San Stepanos, are part of Iran's world heritage. The church was repeatedly attacked by governments and also suffered severe damage due to natural disasters. The church consists of two old black sections and a new white section.
Many tourists between May and October, when the weather in this area is suitable, travel to West Azerbaijan to visit this church and places of pilgrimage. It should be noted that non-Christians are not allowed to enter the church in the first week of August. Because at this time the church is hosting Christians who have gone to this church for religious ceremonies.

 

Holy Cross Church, Mahlezan

One of the very old churches that belongs to the Safavid or Mongol period, this church is located in Khoy and has a simple view. In recent years, this church has been restored by the efforts of West Azerbaijan and has reached the national register of Iran. This church belongs to Armenians and is rectangular in shape with four columns. There is a central dome and eight domes around it. Most of their facades are made of stone and brick.
